Job Description Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel PCU RN – 5N (Neuro/Trauma Focus Unit) Unit Overview: - Beds: 28 - Specialty: Neuro Trauma/Ortho step-down (PCU) - Patient Ratio: - Days: 1:4–5 - Nights: 1:5–6 (acuity-based) Patient Population: - Stroke, seizures - Guillain-Barré, Myasthenia Gravis - Spinal injuries - Post-thrombectomy patients - TNK/TPA (within 24 hrs) - AMS, dementia - Trauma: hematomas, bleeds, falls (especially on thinners), farm & MVA accidents ? Required Skills & Experience: - Minimum 2 years of MS / PCU / ICU experience - Recent experience within last 1 year (REQUIRED) - Drip/titration experience REQUIRED - Trach experience preferred (vents training available, must be willing to learn) - First-time travelers accepted Drips & Procedures: - Titration required: Yes - Common drips: Heparin, Nitro, Diltiazem, Amiodarone, 3%, Insulin Equipment: - Vents, Trachs - CPAP / BiPAP - Vapotherm - EtCO2 ???
