Primary Talent Partners has a 12-month contract opening for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a large medical device company for an onsite position operating out of Minneapolis, MN.

The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.

Pay: $55/hr - $65/hr
Contract: 12 months, extensions likely, conversion possible
Type: W-2, cannot support C2C or provide visa sponsorship
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Part-time: maximum of 20 hr/week

Job Description:
The candidate will be responsible for technical and mechanical design of market-released implantable Neuro devices. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional partners such as reliability, regulatory, operations, and sourcing colleagues to evaluate and implement design changes.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned Researches, plans, designs, verifies, validates and develops mechanical and/or electromechanical products and systems, such as metals, instruments, controls, plastics, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, resonance, hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy.
Recommends various technology options or approaches for system, processes, facility or program improvements in terms of safety, performance, efficiency or costs.
May be responsible for the transfer from R&D to manufacturing.


What are the top 3 things you are looking for in a candidates experience: Working level understanding of implantable procedures.
Proficient knowledge of medical device industry standards, regulations compliance requirements
Experience conducting mechanical Design including Verification activities.


Education Required: BS Mechanical Engineering
Years' Experience Required: minimum of 3 years
