Kemps LLC is a subsidiary of DFA(Dairy Farmers of AmericaWage: $28.82/hourHours: 2pm-10:30pm Monday-Saturday rotating weekends(day off varies by week) -Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, prescription, 401K and vacation -The Lab Tech is responsible for running various tests on samples of raw cream, condensed, skim, and buttermilk, whey, liquid sugar and products from the plant. The Lab Tech retrieves the samples from different areas within the plant, utilizing a cart and elevator as needed to complete the collection. Once collected and taken to the lab, the products are tested according to specifications. The Lab Tech utilizes assorted equipment and chemicals to complete the necessary tests, along with performing visual and taste tests on the finished products. Lab techs will process 30 samples during a shift, with 5 tests being run per sample. The Lab Tech is also responsible for performing document control, releasing product, cleaning, taste-test set-up, calibrating equipment, and stocking their supply of sterilized water bottles.
