Job Description:

The Research Analyst will be part of an integrated team responsible for collecting, analyzing, and inputting financial and operational data of upstream oil & gas companies into our proprietary database. The research analyst will work with mid and senior level analyst to help maintain our internal valuation models, track company and market trends, and help generate insight reports, presentations, and other client deliverables.

The Research Analyst II position for the Company & Transaction team will provide regular support to mid and senior level analysts through data gathering, maintaining databases, and preparation of reports. The Research Analyst will also be expected to interact with clients to help answer basic questions regarding databases, methodology, and our product platform.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and input financial and operational public data found in corporate filings, news releases, presentations, and other sources of disclosure
• Help maintain the back end of our internal database
• Help maintain and populate our internal company valuation models
• Create, format, and customize charts and graphs used in insight reports and presentations
• Answer client questions that relate to database use, definitions, and methodology
• Financially value oil and gas unconventional assets
• Support development on business intelligence tools
  
  Education & Experience
  
  • BA in finance, economics or other related field
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work with teams and in a high pressure environment
