Job Description:
Responsibilities/Job Description:The Technologist position
provides services to patients and physicians through the creation
of diagnostic images appropriate to the age of the patient exam
ordered. Responsible for meeting the established standards of
practice and patient care, supplies and equipment and for
coordinating teamwork with all of the members of the health care
team. This position shares call rotation for nights and weekends.
Will cover hospitals in Crosby, MN and Aitkin, MNPerforms
diagnostic and therapeutic proceduresPerforms examinations with
technical accuracy and in a timely manner.Verifies patient
identification and documentationReviews physician order prior to
exam or procedure.Communicates pertinent information to the
appropriate healthcare professional.Achieves quality diagnostic
images through correct patient positioning and use of technical
factors according to protocol.Communicates with and educates
patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of
examRecognizes structures visualized and understands their
significance.Accurately produces and records measurements according
to protocols.Accurately conveys initial findings and clinical data
to radiologists.Participates in creating a culture of patient
safetyDemonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness for
facilityEnsures patient data integrityAccurately completes computer
functions, edits, scheduling, billing, and status changes in a
timely fashion.Performs accurate image identification, record
preparation, and digital image manipulation and archiving.Assembles
similar relevant exams and reports.Documents initial and ongoing
data, interventions, responses/results, or interventions consistent
with established policies/procedures/guidelines.Participates as an
