Mechanical Designer - Hybrid - Minneapolis, MN

Compensation: $70,000 - $95,000 + Benefits + Bonus Potential

Contract-to-Hire - Full-Time - Growth-Focused Engineering Team

A global manufacturing leader is seeking a Mechanical Designer to join a fast-paced R&D team focused on high-impact, innovative solutions for the data infrastructure industry. This hybrid position offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex product design and development projects supporting critical applications across the globe.

What You'll Do:

• 
  Develop 3D models, technical drawings, BOMs, and documentation for new and existing products
  
  
• 
  Execute design work for high-precision components and assemblies with minimal supervision
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot, test, and support prototype builds
  
  
• 
  Drive design improvements using tolerance stack-ups, material research, and spec verification
  
  
• 
  Work cross-functionally with production and quality teams to ensure manufacturability
  
  
• 
  Support engineering change orders and participate in product development lifecycle activities
  
  
  
  What You Bring:
  
  
  • 
    
  • 
    2-year technical degree in drafting or mechanical design
    
    
  • 
    3+ years of experience in a mechanical design/drafting environment
    
    
  • 
    Proficiency in SolidWorks is required
    
    
  • 
    Strong understanding of GD&T and mechanical manufacturing processes
    
    
  • 
    Experience with tubing, manifolds, copper, and stainless-steel assemblies a plus
    
    
  • 
    Familiarity with ENOVIA PLM and JD Edwards preferred
