  JOB SUMMARY: - -Effectively and efficiently coordinates completion of customer repairs thorough RO development from opening to closing, accurate assignment of work to technician and continually updating customer with preferred communication method (phone, text, email, or face-to-face if on premises). ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Schedules service work for efficient and productive work outcomes
    
  • Greets customers in a timely friendly manner
    
  • Creates, writes and completes repair orders per truck including:
    • 
      
    • Documenting accurate description of customer complaints
      
    • References vehicle history, warranty coverage, open campaigns, etc.
      
    • Creates and communicates estimates - cost and time to repair - - to customer
      
    • Determines payment methods and obtains required approvals from Credit Manager if cost exceeds current A/R status
      
    • Obtains customer PO or documented approval and signatures from customer prior to commencing repairs
      
    • Explains repairs to customers on a timely basis
      
    • Audits repair orders for completion (customer pay and warranty ROs) and closes RO within 2 days of last touch by a technician
      
      
      
    • Updates customers on repair status
      
    • Up-sells when appropriate
      
    • Coordinates customer parking
      
    • Responds to telephone and in-person inquiries in a professional manner and in accordance with the Pledge of Excellence
      
    • Maintains professional appearance
      
    • Keeps work area clean
      
    • Other duties to meet business requirements.
      ESSENTIAL EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
      • 
        
      • High School Diploma or GED
        
      • Minimum 6 months of mechanical experience in transportation industry

          • Service writing/advising experience
            
          • CDL holder
            
          • Background and understanding of trucks and truck equipment
            
          • Experience working in a truck repair facility
            
          • Customer service experience
