Work 32 hours a week and get paid for 36 hours a week, with PTO
accrual based on 36 hours!
Produces high quality images for interpretation by physicians that
meet the standards established by the Mayo Clinic Radiology
Departments. Requires competence, as determined by competency
assessments, in a variety of imaging equipment and technology.
Practices proper safety guidelines for themselves, support
personnel and patients. Fosters teamwork through effective
communication. Ensures high level of service to patients through
proper communication, technique, and safety guidelines. Maintains
flexibility to staff various work locations, shift times and
lengths. Perform other functional duties as assigned to assure
efficient and optimal patient care.
Graduate of an accredited sonography or radiography program.
Organized, efficient and multifunctional. Ability to work
independently. Requires excellent interpersonal skills and
demonstrates effective communication. Ability to work varied hours,
shift lengths and respond to an on-call pager which may include
days, evenings, nights, holidays and weekends.
Ultrasound Sonographer experience preferred.
License or certification
ARDMS or ARRT certified in Sonography
ARDMS Certification in Vascular Technology Imaging within 6 months
of hire. Abdomen and OB/GYN must also be completed within 24 months
of hire. Employees that provide breast imaging will be required to
get certification in that subspecialty within 24 months of achieved
Appropriate state licensure from the state in which the candidate
practices (if the state requires licensure).
$33.07 - $49.62 / hour
Hours / Pay period
64 (work 64 hours, get paid for 72)
Two 0.8 FTE weekend positions. Each sonographer works 32 hours a
week and gets paid for 36 hours a week, with PTO accrual based on
36 hours. Weekend hours begin at 3pm Friday and go through 7am
Monday. Weekends split between sonographers, with one covering
overnights, and the other covering days/evenings.

La Crosse, WI, is a city of 52,000 with a metro area of 120,000 in
the Upper Mississippi River Valley, located between Minneapolis/St.
Paul, MN, and Madison, WI. The area offers unlimited, four-season
