Job Description:

Pride Health is hiring a Remote Inpatient Coder to virtually support our client's hospital billing coding team. -Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8-hour day shiftDuties: ---- - -Reviews, interprets and translates provider medical diagnostic and procedural documentation into appropriate codes following hospital inpatient claims and reporting requirements.--- - -Initiates provider queries as needed to support accurate and comprehensive code assignment.--- - -Applies knowledge of hospital inpatient coding principles including Diagnosis Related Group (DRG) assignment logic, conditions affecting hospital quality measures such as Hospital-Acquired Conditions, Present on Admission, and HCCs.--- - -Ability to work concurrently in a fast-paced environment with identified productivity requirements and with individuals having diverse personalities and work styles.--- - -Requires strong accuracy, attentiveness to detail, and time management skills for translating complex medical documentation into diagnostic classification system codes.--- - -In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, disease processes, patient health record content, and the medical record coding process.Qualifications: ---- - -Must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant hospital inpatient coding experience.--- - -Associate degree required.--- - -One of the following certifications is required: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, OR CPC. -Apply today!#CB
