Description:Industry leader is looking for a manufacturing engineer to join their team. This engineer will help with the development and maintaining of processes. This position will work in a team environment of both engineering and operations.Lead the maintaining and development of various manufacturing processes.Work to identify and collaborate on hazardsUtilize lean manufacturingTroubleshoot and problem solvingLook at cost reduction, lead times and various quality improvementsRoot cause and corrective actionWork with innovative new and exciting products/processesFloor plan layoutsProject developmentProduct and process design phasesQuality issues and improvementsEngineering documentationWork cross functionally and in a team environmentA candidate is needed to do more process instructions focused from manufacturing; will need to do more documentation.May also-Develop, coordinate and control the technical activities of manufacturing, quality, product design, tooling development, or application engineering.Depending on the engineering discipline, the candidate may be responsible for cost reduction initiatives, developing and specifying fixtures and tools, developing layouts for implementation of new products, development of work standards, design support of new and existing product, development of quality tools, root cause analysis, development of weld, paint and assembly standards, and CNC programming.Additional Skills & Qualifications:2 year or 4 year degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial EngineeringExperience with manufacturing processes: weld, paint, metal fabrication or assembly would be bestAmbitious, not laid back, energetic, dynamic, have to be flexible because things shift, handle demanding customers, training is minimal, self-motivated, will get thrown in to the work, can work independently.Other:1. Basic Manufacturing Engineering skills a. Process design and fixturingb. Time study and line balancingc. Lean Manufacturing skills.2. Experience with PFMEA and Control Plans3. Experience with process documentation and hands on implementation of process improvements on the shop floor.Experience with task management, product design, CNC programming, process improvement, or problem solving.Able to work with minimum supervision and complete projects on scheduleTechnical problem solving using a variety of tools including 3D Cad systems, geometric tolerancing, 8D, basic MS Office Suite, cost analysis, lean manufacturing, and time and motion study, and print readingAble to communicate clearly and honestly, interface with customers and suppliers, and work in a team environment.
