Gundersen Health System has made a commitment to be a leader in
healthcare innovation. The Innovation Operations Partner is
responsible for day to day operating activities and communications
around the innovation framework. Develops and standardizes workflow
processes, oversees talent pipeline needs, supports
innovation/incubation activities, and ensures that initiatives are
moving forward in line with the determined timelines.
The Innovation Operations Partner monitors Gundersen's
innovation framework, ensuring its alignment with and support of
strategic business activities.
Collaborates with clinicians, leaders and others within GHS to
identify innovative ideas for improving healthcare. Assists in
innovation evaluations and tracks progress of continued research
and/or development activities related to innovation projects.
Makes key strategic decisions around Innovation and the
Incubator's operating model (sources of new venture ideation,
volume of incubations, metrics, etc.)
Oversees the talent pipeline including the Incubator, New
Venture Teams, and New Venture Boards; ensures best practices.
Determines and develops policies and procedures for innovation
and what the incubation teams should follow (e.g., Incubator tech
stack, employee rotations).
Drives activities to hit appropriate cadence calendar for
Ideate, Incubate, Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) fund and all
aspects of innovation.
Manages the Innovation budget, revenue, expenses, invoices,
permits, contracts, reporting, etc.
Advances internal and external promotion for Innovation and the
Develops standard practices and methodologies for innovation and
incubation/idea teams and metrics to ensure they are followed.
Develops methods to easily capture, display and report
Supports incubation activities and teams (budgets, reporting,

Education and Learning:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Innovation, Human Computer
Interaction or a related field
5 years of professional level work experience demonstrating
project management, operations, leading teams, product innovation
or development of new ideas.
Experience in corporate innovation and / or venturing (either
internal and / or external venture development)
Previous experience within a startup
Venture Capital, Private Equity, or Angel Investing experience a
License and Certifications:
Lean Six Sigma certification preferred
