As a trainee, you will learn from experienced professionals and receive the guidance necessary to grow into a skilled CDL-A driver, a vital role that connects our supply chain expertise to our vast network of customers. Learn and assist in the safe operation of a commercial heavy vehicle under supervision. Support the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures are followed. Receive training in route planning and GPS navigation to ensure timely delivery schedules. Assist in maintaining vehicle upkeep, ensuring compliance with regulatory safety standards. Gain proficiency in customer service by interacting with clients during deliveries. Compile delivery logs and reports as part of regulatory compliance and operational effectiveness. Basic knowledge of vehicle operation and maintenance. Strong geographical awareness and ability to navigate varied routes. Ability to undertake physical tasks including lifting, sorting, and moving stock as needed. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
