Performance Foodservice is seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Local Delivery Driver to join our Transportation team. As a leading distributor delivering over 150,000 food and food-related products across the United States, we value the diligence and dedication of our drivers who play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of timely delivery while ensuring the highest levels of safety and compliance. This position is tailored for those who value consistency and homely stability, as it guarantees that drivers return home daily after their local routes. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about driving, customer service, and enjoying the balance of professional and personal life. Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle to transport food and related products to customer locations. Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure optimal vehicle safety. Load and unload cargo, verifying loads against shipping papers, and provide excellent customer service during deliveries. Maintain compliance with DOT regulations and company safety policies. Utilize onboard tracking and documentation systems to maintain records of deliveries. Proficiency in driving commercial vehicles. Strong organizational skills for accurate cargo handling. Excellent navigational and time management skills. Ability to maintain accurate transport logs and records. Customer service orientation and problem-solving ability. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – Class A required. DOT medical card.
