Job Details:As a Linux Engineer, you will be joining a fast-paced, growing, and motivated team. You will be responsible for supporting Federated's Red Hat Enterprise Linux server environment (RHEL) including Linux patching, monitoring, and server automation solutions. We are seeking a highly motivated systems engineer with experience in one or more of the following areas:Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)General Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, CoreOS)Red Hat SatelliteDocker/PodmanRed Hat AnsibleADO/GitLinux Scripting (Bash, Python, YAML)The ideal candidate for this role possesses a passion for using technology to solve business challenges, the highest level of integrity, strong initiative and drive, and the desire to work in an energizing, in-person, collaborative team environment in our Southern Minnesota headquarters. Key Responsibilities:Evaluate, implement, and configure Red Hat Linux serversDevelop automation through Ansible or Linux ScriptingManage the Linux ecosystem (installations, upgrades, patching, monitoring)Implement appropriate levels of fault tolerances and redundancy to support business recovery times and objectivesMonitor and manage the performance and capacity of infrastructure componentsAdvise and assist other IT personnel to deploy application workloads on LinuxQualifications:Four-year degree with a preferred major in computer-related field, mathematics or equivalent experience1+ year of experience managing RHEL or other Linux based operating systemsExperience with Linux and scripting languages (Bash, Python, YAML)Experience with automation a plus (Ansible, ArgoCD, etc.)Strong communication, administrative, analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to build relationships and work in a team environmentBasic understanding of network protocols, principles and conceptsKnowledge of security best practices preferredAbout Us:At Federated Insurance, we do life-changing work, focused on our clients' success.
