working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Saint Paul,
Minnesota, 55102! Job Title: Cardiac/Telemetry Intermediate Care
Unit RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: PCU Duration: 13
weeks Shift: Night 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience preferred License: Valid state
license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Comfort and
competence with vasoactive IV drips, BiPAP, and post-operative care
Description: Candidates should be comfortable and competent with
vasoactive IV drips. Experience with BiPAP is required. Must have
skills in caring for post-operative patients after CABG, valve
replacement, and thoracotomy. Familiarity with endotool and insulin
drips is necessary. This position will work every other weekend.
The clinician will not float beyond their scope to meet facility
needs. Candidates with prior charge experience are preferred. Unit
highlights include caring for cardiac intermediate unit patients.
Common patient diagnoses include respiratory failure, arrhythmias,
and cardio-renal syndrome. In this role, you will manage chest
tubes and participate in the care of ventilated patients. You will
provide advanced monitoring for various cardiac conditions.
Candidates should have experience with central line care, PCA, and
titration of cardiac or vasoactive drips. A background in managing
temporary pacers and interpreting arterial blood gases is
preferred. Collaboration with interdisciplinary support teams is
essential. Daily census is approximately 32 patients in the unit.
The work environment requires adherence to isolation precautions
