Speech Language Pathologist Location: Mauston, WI Agency: Acruex
Health Pay: $35 to $50 per hour Shift Information: Days - 5 days x
8 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position Permanent (Full Time)
Pay Rate: $69,000.00 to $98,000.00/Yearly. Shift: Days, Full Time.
Summary: The Speech Language Pathologist position assesses and
treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in order to help
individuals enhance their ability to communicate and swallow
safely. Responsibilities: Perform direct patient care: assess and
treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Complete patient
documentation, including initial evaluations, plans of care,
progress reports, and discharge reports. Contact insurance
companies regarding benefits. Prepare for evaluation and treatment
sessions. Provide education to staff, including nurses, physicians,
dietitians, and food service workers, regarding results and
recommendations following evaluations and providing guidance based
on the most up-to-date research. Create in-service presentations
and educational opportunities for staff. Collaborate with
healthcare providers in order to provide patient-centered
treatment. Clean treatment rooms following sessions. Provide
reminder calls to patients. Aid patients and families in navigating
the hospital. Perform other duties as requested. Requirements
Requirements: Professional degree in speech language pathology
required. Masters degree in speech pathology from an accredited
program. Eligible for Speech-Language Pathologist license to
practice in the state of WI. Must hold and maintain Wisconsin
Speech-Language Pathologist license. Must maintain a valid, current
driver's license. Must maintain BLS certification. 1 years of
related work experience preferred. Experience in a hospital setting
a plus. Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.
