Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/30/2026 - Duration: 8 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - ER Job Details: • Coordinate nursing care for patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric ages • Perform triage according to Emergency Severity Index (ESI) 5 level triage process • Plan, implement and evaluate all levels of patient care • Perform age-appropriate assessments and provide safe, effective care to all ages • Document using medical terminology and maintain ED records that are medically and legally acceptable • Coordinate care needs of multiple patients and prioritize patient care to ensure timely delivery • Monitor life support and automated technical equipment • Perform routine and complex treatments including medication administration and emergency resuscitation protocols • Insert and safely administer IV fluids, blood and blood products, and other parenteral fluids • Respond to crisis situations in a calm, efficient manner • Maintain equipment and supplies, complete checklists, and ensure rooms are stocked • Two-year degree in nursing required, four-year degree preferred • Must hold and maintain Wisconsin Registered Nursing license • Current BLS, ACLS & PALS required within 1 year of hire • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required • Demonstrated proficiency in computer documentation of patient care Facility: This medical center provides comprehensive emergency department services with a focus on delivering quality patient care across all age groups.
