This role is ideal for ER nursing professionals seeking rewarding travel nursing jobs in Wisconsin./n /n/nJob Details/n /n - Location: Mauston, WI 53948 — Travel nursing job in Wisconsin/n - Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (March 6, 2026 – June 5, 2026)/n - Employment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel Assignment/n - Setting: Emergency Department (ED) — Emergency Room nursing job/n - Shift: Rotating Day (7a–7p) & Mid (10a–10p), Every 3rd Weekend/n - Shift Duration: 12 hours/n - Guaranteed Hours: 32 per week/n - Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 - $2,130 per week/n /n/nQualifications & Job Requirements/n /n - Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room (ER) nursing experience — ER RN or Emergency Department nurse/n - Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred/n - Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license/n - Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required/n - Trauma/ATCN certification preferred/n - Strong clinical assessment skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced ED/n - Experience with Emergency Severity Index (ESI) triage, IV therapy, medication administration, and emergency resuscitation/n /n/nKey Responsibilities/n /n - Provide direct nursing care for emergency patients across the lifespan (pediatric to geriatric) as an ER Registered Nurse/n - Perform rapid, age-appropriate assessments and implement timely interventions in the Emergency Department/n - Conduct triage using the Emergency Severity Index (ESI) 5-level process/n - Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and assist with emergency procedures and resuscitation protocols (ACLS/PALS)/n - Monitor life support and technical equipment and respond to critical events calmly and efficiently/n - Document all care and patient responses accurately in the ED record using clinical terminology and EMR systems/n - Collaborate with physicians, multidisciplinary teams, ancillary departments, and outside agencies to coordinate patient care/n - Prioritize and manage multiple patients, delegating tasks and advocating for patient safety/n - Ensure compliance with legal consent, transfer protocols, and patient rights/n - Maintain ED supplies and equipment readiness, complete checklists, and support quality improvement initiatives/n - Participate in education for pre-hospital emergency providers, students, and staff as needed/n - Perform other duties as assigned to support the Emergency Department team/n /n/n /n Interested in this ER nursing job?
