Job Description:
Mayo Clinic, a leader in healthcare services, research, and
education, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Outpatient
Neurology team specializing in Movement Disorders and Deep Brain
Stimulation. This role is crucial in delivering personalized
nursing care to patients with neurological disorders, optimizing
their treatment plans, and supporting innovative therapies. You
will work in a multidisciplinary team dedicated to enhancing
patient outcomes through cutting-edge treatments and compassionate
care. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for
neurology patients, focusing on movement disorders. Prepare
patients for, and assist with, examinations and treatments. Operate
medical equipment related to deep brain stimulation therapy.
Educate patients and their families on disease processes,
treatment, and self-care skills. Collaborate with neurologists and
other healthcare professionals to modify care plans. Monitor
patient progress and respond to any emergency situations. Maintain
accurate patient records and ensure compliance with all healthcare
regulations. Proficiency in neurology nursing practices. Ability to
operate and understand deep brain stimulation devices and software.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to handle
emotionally charged situations. In-depth knowledge of neurology
disorders and treatments. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license. Certification
in Neuroscience Nursing (CNRN) preferred. American Heart
Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
