working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in
Marshfield, Wisconsin, 54449! Job Title: Med Surg/Tele RN

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience
License: Must possess a valid nursing license Certifications: BLS
(AHA) Must-Have: Experience in titrating drips, such as Heparin,
Nitro, Bivalirudin, Cardizem, and Insulin. Description: Department
consists of Med Surg RN. The unit has 29 beds with nurse to patient
ratios of 1:4-5 during the day and 1:5-6 at night. Common diagnoses
include orthopedic trauma (fractures, joint replacements), vascular
cases (fem-pop bypass, carotid endarterectomy, heparin drips),
urology (TURP, TURBT, continuous bladder irrigation), neuro-spine
(laminectomy, fusion, back pain), and OBGYN oncology (TAH/OBS).
Acute medical patients can also be admitted to the department.
Nurses are required to titrate medications following a prescribed
nomogram. Telemetry technicians monitor patients 24/7; nurses do
not need to interpret cardiac strips. There is a charge nurse on
all shifts who takes an assignment. Nurse aides are present with
specific ratios. Registered nurses have distinct responsibilities
during different shifts. Respiratory therapy equipment includes
CPAP, BIPAP, and high-flow oxygen therapy; no ventilators are
present. Block scheduling is utilized based on staffing needs, and
weekend and holiday work is required. Floating to other adult
medical/surgical units may be necessary. Dress code requires clean
and professional attire. All clinicians must clock in and out while
