your future. Responsibilities The Wyles Lab in the Center for
Regenerative Biotherapeutics and Mayo Clinic Department of
Dermatology has an opening for a postdoctoral fellow interested in
studying the association between cutting-edge biomarkers of skin
aging and 3D bioprinting skin tissues. In this role, the candidate
will lead independent projects on studying the molecular and
cellular mechanisms of skin senescence in human models,
specifically related to tissue engineering 3D skin models and wound
patch development. Prior experience in tissue bioprinting and/or
tissue engineering required. The ideal candidate will be skilled in
and have experience in: • Tissue bioprinting and tissue engineering
• Histopathology techniques and immunostaining • Conducting
analyses • 3D skin equivalents, explants, or other in vitro skin
models for research • The biology of aging and/or aging-related
conditions • Excellent manuscript writing and communication skills
A Research Fellow position in Life Sciences (LS) will require
knowledge of either clinical-based research or laboratory-based
research often obtained from a postdoctoral program. A Research
Fellow at Mayo Clinic is a temporary position intended to provide
training and education in research. Individuals will train in the
research program of a Mayo Clinic principal investigator. Qualified
individuals will demonstrate the potential for research as
evidenced by their training and peer-reviewed publications and
should become competitive for national research grants. Upon
background check and CCATS Executive Committee approval, Research
Fellow may have patient/research subject contact directly relating
to and incidental to the original research program. Proof of
English proficiency is required for J-1 Short-Term Scholars,
Research Scholars, Professors, Specialists, and Student Interns
sponsored by Mayo Clinic. Qualifications Must have a Ph.D., M.D.,
or equivalent doctoral degree in a field deemed relevant by the
program. Research Fellow is appropriate for individuals who have
completed no more than one prior postdoctoral fellowship, at Mayo
Clinic or elsewhere.
