Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per
Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years License: Valid license required
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), AHA certifications
required Must-Have: Experience with patient ratios of 1:4-6.
Experience with bowel resections, bariatric surgery, tracheostomy
care, and epidural infusion. Description: Bed Side Shift Reporting,
utilization of AIDET, and hourly rounding are required for this
position. This unit serves a mixed patient population in a
high-acuity medical-surgical and telemetry environment. The pace
can be very fast, and patient ratios will vary depending on acuity.
Staff must be flexible and willing to assist as needed. The
position requires floating to cover tasks as necessary. Completion
of credentialing application requirements is necessary. References
from peers and a department chair are required, with contact
information provided. Candidates are expected to complete required
labs and assessments promptly. Candidates must ensure availability
for scheduling to meet compliance requirements. Candidates will be
expected to complete modules during orientation.
