• Certification Details
• Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) competency.
• Additional specialty certification/training as required by the work area.

  • Attends the surgeon and surgical team peri-operatively to provide for optimum peri-operative experience.
  • Knowledge of anatomy, instrumentation, patient safety and sterile technique.
    • Job Requirements
    • Graduate of an accredited and/or hospital approved Surgical Technician program.
    • Certification preferred.

      • COMPETENCY: Otorhinolaryngology General/Gynecology Neurology Orthopedics Cardiovascular
      • JOB KNOWLEDGE: Principles of aseptic technique; orientation of surgical procedures; preparation, operation and care of equipment and machines; understands patient and staff safety recommendations.
        • Additional Details
        • Capable of rapid accurate reactions.
        • Concern for quality patient care.
        • Communicates and works effectively with various levels of personnel.
        • Stands and walks major portion of work schedule.
        • Moderate to heavy lifting required.
        • Exposure to cuts, burns, infection, biohazardous chemicals, and x-ray.
