Health TherapistThis is a unique full-time opportunity to work with
children 5 years of age and under, along with their families, in
collaborative programs to support school readiness, improve family
stability, and decrease mental health symptoms.Our Early Childhood
Mental Health Therapist provides mental health service co-located
in community settings as well as in family homes. Services include
direct mental health therapy with children, their families, and
providing group therapy. Essential functions of this role are:
- Consistently demonstrates clinical competence of early
childhood and professionalism by effectively conducting client
diagnostic assessments for children, using the framework
established by DC: 0-5 Diagnostic Classification of Mental Health
and Development Disorders of Infancy and Early Childhood published
by Zero to Three when working with children 5 years of age and
younger. Ability to accurately identify diagnosis when appropriate,
complete individualized treatment plans, and provide on-going
mental health services. -
- Consistently demonstrates professional behaviors that reflect
respect for clients and their families, co-workers, community
partnerships, and the organization.
- Comply with professional ethics and standards
- Develop and cultivate relationships with community sites and
community members to expand and maintain collaborative
efforts.
- Complete related documentation in the electronic health record
as required by agency and third-party payers in a timely
manner.
- Provide training opportunities related to early childhood
mental health to community members, community partner sites and
agency staff.Qualified candidates must be a master's level
therapist possessing LICSW, LP, LPCC, or LMFT, or on track for
clinical licensure, to provide clinical services in community based
settings. - Candidate must have knowledge of early childhood
development, family systems, be DC: 0-5 trained, or a plan to, and
have flexibility with hours. - Trauma Focused trained along with an
understanding of Head Start programming is highly preferred. - This
position will provide individual, family, and group work. -
Excellent verbal, written, and computer skills a must. - For your
