Position description
Under supervision of a master prepared social worker, provides counseling to families, individuals and groups. Works in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, coordinates patient discharge planning, complies with required standards for medical/legal responsibilities, and serves as a resource to other allied and administrative staff.

Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field from an accredited college or university.

MSW preferred, however; will consider BSW with health care experience.

Additional qualifications
Must have knowledge and skills to provide counseling to individuals, families, and groups, psychosocial evaluation, advocacy, and referral to community resources. Strong human relation skills are needed to interact with patients, patient's family members, consultants, residents, hospital personnel, community agencies, and other resources. Must also have the ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form.

License or certification
Licensure/Certification by applicable state standards. Valid driver's license required for specific areas.

Compensation Detail
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $24.68 per hour.

Schedule details
No set schedule, provides coverage for unexpected time off as well as planned time off. Expectation is to work a minimum of 2 shifts (16 hours) every 8 week.
May work the following shifts: 7a - 3a, 8:a - 4:30p 2p - 9:30p and 5p - 3a.

Weekend schedule
Will cover same shifts as noted under schedule detains.
