Position description
The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner works independently,
and in collaboration with physicians and other health care
professionals, and provides care to patients in an Urgent/Emergent
setting for all age groups. The Mayo Clinic Health System of Austin
is an integrated multi-specialty medical center with a staff of 70+
physicians serving an 80 bed hospital and busy outpatient
practice.
Practice Description:
Qualifications
One to two years of clinical and/or surgical experience is
preferred. Must have knowledge of the professional medical practice
and ability to evaluate patient care. Must have knowledge of
organization structure, regulations, and procedures to administer
patient care; knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to
administer patient care; knowledge of common safety hazards and
precautions in order to establish safe work environment.
Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and
Nurse Practitioner program. Must have current Minnesota RN license
and certification as a FNP, ACNP or ANP. Licensure must allow
provider to see the full spectrum of patients from newborn through
geriatrics.
Or graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current
PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota
State Board of Medical Practice.
Candidate must be eligible for DEA registration.

License or certification

Compensation Detail
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with
internal equity when job offers are extended. - The minimum salary
every 2 weeks is approx $4,176.80, based on a full-time
position.

Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. including phone triage with
first call from the ED/floor (1 in 5 weekdays)
