Exceptional career opportunity for a sharp EHS professional who is looking to further develop and hone their EHS skills in preparation for a future EHS Manager role. As the Safety and Environmental Specialist for a small manufacturing plant, will work closely with hourly, plant leadership and corporate resources.

Requirements for success:
-Bachelor's in Safety or other EHS related field.
-Minimum of six months to one year of hands-on EHS experience in a manufacturing plant
recent grad with an EHS internship in a production type environment.
-Broad knowledge of safety compliance, standards and working knowledge of environmental compliance. 80% safety and 20% environmental (wastewater).
-Must have solid communications skills, a collaborative work style and the desire for hands-on, in plant EHS work.

Scope of responsibility:
-Developing the EHS subject matter expert role for a small production plant, working closely with hourly, plant leadership and corporate resources.
-Working to increase EHS awareness and competencies throughout the facility, through daily interaction and education/training.
-Implementation and management of safety programs such as, lockout/tagout, machine guarding, etc.
