Position description
The Radiation Oncology team has .8 - 1.0 FTE opportunities available. The outpatient Radiation Oncology advanced practice provider (APP) will work closely with a team of physicians and nurses evaluating outpatient Radiation Oncology patients for treatment, contributing to the treatment plan, managing the care of patients undergoing radiation therapy, and providing post-therapy follow up care. The incumbent will be part of a team of 24 Rochester-based APPs. Provision of care may include comprehensive assessment and diagnosis, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescription of pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies, comprehensive patient education, and psychosocial support of the patient and family experiencing cancer.

Our Care Family model promotes collaborative, team-based care with some opportunity to practice independently in caring for post-treatment patients. The outpatient APP will collaborate with our inpatient APP in caring for hospitalized patients. APPs are encouraged to participate in research and publications, as well as quality improvement projects. There may be an opportunity to grow professionally by providing occasional cross-coverage for other subspecialty radiation oncology care families at Charlton SL Desk R/Jacobson SL West.

Qualifications
Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current Minnesota RN license and certification as a FNP, ANP or ACNP. DNP preferred.

Or graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice.

Must be eligible for DEA registration.
