The Trauma Program Manager (TPM) will be responsible for the
implementation of the vision, mission, and values of Mayo Clinic,
the Department of Nursing and the Division of Trauma, Critical Care
and General Surgery. The TPM contributes to the strategic planning
process and attainment of goals of the organization. They will
plan, direct, coordinate, and evaluate the operational, fiscal, and
personnel activities within the Trauma Program practice. They also
advocate for and allocate available resources to promote efficient,
effective, safe, and compassionate care based on current standards
of practice. The TPM is accountable for promoting ongoing
development of all staff, promotes shared decision making, and
partners with the Trauma Medical Director.
The Trauma Program Manager assures the Mayo Clinic Level 1 Trauma
Program maintains compliance with all requirements for American
College of Surgeons trauma verification including the assurance of
best practice across the trauma continuum, performance improvement
activities, research, and involvement in community, state, and
national trauma care systems.
This role is eligible for TN sponsorship. Holders of F1 status
eligible for post-completion OPT are welcome to apply. This role is
NOT eligible to participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.
Successful sponsorship will require state licensure and completion
of the VisaScreen or equivalent certification.
Graduate of an accredited baccalaureate nursing program and a
Masters degree in Nursing, business or a health related field as
approved by the Mayo Clinic Nurse Executive Committee. Will
consider applicants meeting all other qualifications who commit to
degree completion within six months from application date.
Experience leading a trauma program through an American College of
Surgeons Trauma Verification review or similar state designation
visit. Experience in trauma performance improvement/patient safety
programs or similar quality programs (e.g. hospital quality).
Experience with registry databases such as National Trauma Data Set
or other standardized databases. Experience in development of
trauma systems such as hospital system, regional, or other similar
Graduate of an Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing
(ACEN) or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
accredited Master's in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
program, business, or health related field as approved by Mayo
Clinic Nurse Executive Committee.
Current state RN license or current license deemed acceptable by
the State Board of Nursing in which the RN practices.
Maintains current Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers from
one of the following programs: American Heart Association or
American Red Cross (required by January 1, 2017). Maintains ACLS
and PALS per specific unit guidelines.
Additional state licensure(s) and/or specialty
certification/training as required by the work area.
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with
internal equity when job offers are extended.; $113,131.20 -
$169,748.80 / year
Monday-Friday days, evenings, and weekends as required by business
as needed by business need
