Maintenance Manager. This position will be on-site and based out of
our manufacturing facility based in Mason City, Iowa.ASSA ABLOY is
a global leader in opening access solutions. Our Group focuses on
the manufacturing of steel doors and frames within the commercial
market catering to such industries as hospitality, healthcare,
aerospace and defense, sports stadiums and educational markets.What
would you do as our Maintenance Manager?You will play a key role in
ensuring all plant equipment is maintained and in good operating
condition, to minimize downtime, optimize production and machine
up-time, and facilitate smooth on schedule maintenance outage and
repair, while ensuring that all applicable safety, loss prevention,
and other guidelines are followed. In addition to the maintenance,
repair, and/or replacement of plant equipment and systems, you will
also be in charge of the facility and grounds.You would also:
--- Manage the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department,
including the work order and Project Management database
--- Directly supervise the activities and performance of the plant
maintenance team including planning and assigning work; providing
regular performance feedback; issuing discipline or corrective
action; and resolving employee issues.
--- Respond to maintenance calls and ensure that equipment is
properly repaired to minimize downtime consistent with production
schedules.
--- Assist with interviewing, hiring, and training of maintenance
employees. Work with cross-functional teams to minimize production
downtime on day-to-day operation as well as varying projects.
--- Support continuous improvement initiatives by planning and
executing equipment installations, moves, or reconfigurations.
--- Implement effective procedures for maintaining the condition of
all production equipment, infrastructure, facilities, and
grounds.
--- Work with Management Team to ensure that work requests are
prioritized
--- Implement, monitor, and update a successful preventative
maintenance programs to align with production requirements.
--- Help to develop and implement inventory programs to minimize
on-hand supplies.
--- Analyze data to determine true maintenance costs of individual
pieces of equipment and develop proposals to minimize future
costs.
--- Coordinate and plan outside inspections to meet local
legislative requirements
--- Source and coordinate outside contractors for work as required,
ensuring that they follow all company guidelines for safety,
quality, loss prevention, etc.
--- Be able to provide after-hours support and guidance to the
maintenance and engineering teams.
--- Participate as a management member on the Safety and Emergency
Response Team.
--- Other duties as required
--- Continually promotes a safe and harmonious working environment,

and ASSA ABLOY Health & Safety Policy WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
--- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred; Manufacturing
Technology certificate or certified Industrial Mechanic as a
minimum
--- 5-10 years' experience in a maintenance management role in a
manufacturing environment
--- Demonstrated track record of employing LEAN methodologies
--- Previous working knowledge and understanding of CNC machines,
Lasers, PLC programming, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and
mechanical systems
--- Experience using work order systems. Thrive experience/exposure
is a plus
--- Possess analytical and critical thinking skills, demonstrated
track record of collaboration on projects, as well as excellent
written and verbal communication skills
--- Ability to multi-task and handle tasks with competing
priorities
--- Effective and efficient use of CMMS systems, including
databases and search functionality
--- Strong project management and leadership skills to effectively
manage daily, monthly and quarterly PM's and scheduled maintenance
outages.
