Job Description:
A nonprofit, no-paywall, multiplatform newsroom has an open
position for a Remote Social Media Director.
Core Responsibilities Include:
Conceiving and executing top-line overall social media strategy
Setting platform-specific strategy rooted in audience
needs/wants/desires
Hiring and supervising a team member to manage our social media
presence
Position Requirements Include:
5-7 years of experience working directly in social media and
audience development
Advanced proficiency of social media platforms and audience
analytics
A proven understanding of not just the mechanical tools to manage
social platforms
Experience with social media strategies and campaigns, both organic
and paid
A sense of humor and ability to use it judiciously through social
media
Ability to implement and execute Rewire News Group's voice across
all platforms
