Program Manager - Meadow Park Initiative

Position Purpose :

Advise multi-agency leadership team on improving overall efficiency and effectiveness of place-based programming. Provide management and coordination within Meadow Park Initiative and across partner organizations. This may include staff supervision, program development, evaluation and partner onboarding and coordination with collaborative partners. Further, the position ensures that Meadow Park Initiative is responsive to the wants and needs of residents incorporating best practices consistent with professional standards and ethics.

Description of Major Duties:
Provide coordination and leadership for contract workers and partners to best serve the identified wants and needs of residents.
Lead neighborhood needs assessment on which work plans are based. Deliver expected results from work plan.
Utilizing needs assessment, develop and implement comprehensive work plans.
Maintain program records and activity logs tracking program inputs, outputs, and outcomes to ensure programs are meeting jointly established goals and expectations.
Maintain close liaison with the Meadow Park Initiative Leadership Team, collaborative partners, community agencies, vendors, Meadow Park Neighborhood-at-large, and community as related to the Initiative. Lead partner development and on-boarding.
Apply change, risk and resource management and actively engage in problem solving to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Provide direct services to consumers consistent with needs of assigned programs as agreed upon with Meadow Park Initiative Leadership and program needs.
Provide regular direction for program partners and contractors.

Other Duties And Responsibilities
Cultural competency so as to interact in culturally responsive/appropriate manner.
Attend Meadow Park Initiative Leadership Team, Neighborhood Council, and all other meetings as directed.
Work a schedule that is responsive to program needs which include evening and weekend hours.
Attend training seminars or conferences to improve skill levels and keep informed of best practices within the assigned program areas.
All other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Supervisory responsibility:



Training and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in business, human services or related field plus three to four years relevant experience or six to eight years' experience in similar position in lieu of degree. Experience in strategic/program/event planning, budget management and cross-cultural engagement. Must show skills in working with diverse individuals, groups and across organizations.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Bilingual (preferred) Somali and English, and/or Spanish and English

Must possess skill in business arithmetic with high numeric aptitude and attention to detail. Knowledge of business principles and functions with the ability to effectively organize and prioritize daily workload to accurately complete assignments within established deadlines. Must possess effective interpersonal communication, analytical and problem solving skills. Requires the ability to maintain a high level of professionalism while managing large volumes of complex and confidential information.

Must possess computer literacy to utilize numerous softwares.

Special Requirements:

Ability to work within a team environment and effectively communicate across cultures, organizations and in community. Must have a valid driver's license and dependable transportation covered by insurance to use for work purposes. Willingness and ability to work additional time if needed to meet critical deadlines.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to regularly talk, walk, hear, sit, see, stand, and perform keystrokes to enter data with reasonable speed to insure work is completed. Requires physical ability to routinely handle normal office and program materials and tools including lifting, reaching, carrying boxes and program equipment up to 40 lbs; ability to move throughout office and neighborhoods to complete work assignments.

Work environment:

Regular exposure to normal office environment, outside and private home environments, that may include rain, snow, heat, cold, smoking and pets, is required. Ability to drive in inclement weather.
