ResponsibilitiesThis role will serve as a builder and integrator, ensuring the Front-End Development team is working in concert and executing work aligned to our digital and design strategy.--- -Support and execute on the digital design strategy at Mayo Clinico -Support strategic and innovative use of front-end technologies to deliver value for sites and shields, working with team members to ensure consistent, quality worko -Create, maintain and support front-end code standards across all delivery mechanisms to align with department and organizational standardso -Ensure effectiveness of front-end development, by supporting consistency in approach and quality of work produced within and across portfolioso -Work with Experience Design leadership to ensure overall development standards and deliverables of the presentation layer continue to evolveo -Develop, organize and lead team and technology documentationo -Serve as a partner to Experience Design leadershipo -Serve as a partner to Product and IT organizationso -Support and foster Mayo Clinic digital experience strategyo -Provide guidance to the CDH teams to provide the necessary front-end development education and engagement approaches to fit within and enhance Mayo culture--- -Build and maintain a team of engaged and forward-thinking front-end development practitioners.o -Ensure overall skillset of the Front-End Development team continues to evolve, creating focuses on code standards, technology documentation and accessibilityo -Set and support performance and career priorities for direct reports, ensuring a focus on growth and learningo -Foster innovation by understanding the use of new and emerging design and coding trends, emerging technologies and software development techniques, all while balancing best practices with new ideas and conceptso -Foster an internal culture of positive teamwork and transparency that drives excellent service, quality, diversity of thought, an engaging work environment and a mindset of overall continuous improvement o -Serve as change agent for digital transformation, championing agile ways of thinking and working and enabling teams and individuals for success--- -Build, collaborate with and nurture trusted relationshipso -Build strong, collaborative relationships with the Chair of Digital Experience, XD leadership team members, XD team members, CDH leadership team members, IT leadership, project leaders and/or clientso -Support Division Chair as trusted advisor o -Serve as face of and represent the Experience Design organization as neededo -Ensure consistent messaging with stakeholders across the Mayo Clinic Enterprise Why Mayo Clinic?Mayo Clinic is the nation's best hospital (U.S. News & World Report, 2020-2021) and ranked #1 in more specialties than any other care provider. Eligibility may vary.Qualifications--- -HS Diploma/GED Required--- -10+ years of direct professional front-end development experience in an agency or enterprise setting --- -2+ years' experience leading and managing high-performing, front-end development teamsAdditional Qualifications--- -Expertise in professional front-end development/presentation layer best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations--- -Expertise in front-end development/presentation layer languages and frameworks, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, PHP, Vue.js, React.js, Angular.js, etc.--- -Experience managing front-end development teams, helping them prioritize, plan, and build large interactive applications, and evaluating individual performance with a focus on professional growth --- -Deep experience developing design systems featuring component libraries--- -Expertise in responsive web and mobile app standards, including WCAG standards--- -Experience partnering with product, design, and a variety of development teams--- -Demonstrated ability translating business requirements into development features and stories--- -Demonstrated ability providing front-end development breakdown and estimates for complex software development tasks--- -Strong understanding of experience design. user flows, interaction design, and user-centered design principals--- -Experience working in Agile development environments--- -Ability to assess skills, structure, and processes to deliver on our business objectives--- -Ability to collaborate and negotiate productively and tactfully--- -Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal with an ability to articulate programming concepts to a variety of audiences, including Executive level--- -Working style that demonstrates respect, initiative, ownership, transparency, accountability, and a desire to working as part of a collaborative team--- -Comfort in a fast-paced, iterative/agile design process--- -Genuine passion for helping people who need our help the most--- -Bachelor's Degree in a related field or a degree in an unrelated field combined with additional suitable experience preferred--- -This role may be performed at any of our Mayo Clinic locations or fully remoteLicense or CertificationExemption StatusExemptCompensation DetailRequired education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. - The salary range every 2 weeks is approx. $5856.80-$8492 based on a full-time position.Benefit EligibleYesScheduleFull Time Hours/Pay Period80Schedule DetailsM-F, day shift.
