Are you a skilled and highly motivated Generator Technician looking
to learn and grow in a fast-paced, challenging job in the Telecom
industry? If so, Pearce has a career for you! Our Generator
Technicians service and repair commercial generators on cell phone
towers in your region. This role is a great match for independent,
self-starters who are willing to travel. Core Responsibilities:
Maintain generators, diagnose and repair problems, install and
replace components or entire systems, and perform additional
maintenance or upgrades on out-of-season equipment. Conduct
performance checks and regular maintenance on generators to ensure
proper readiness, reading and following blueprints or other design
specifications to install or repair. Install fuel and water supply
lines, pumps, electrical wiring and controls, and other components,
and test for proper operation. Respond promptly to Power/Generator
alarms and be available for on-call duties 24/7 if necessary.
Perform work with awareness of all potential hazards, including
falls, electric shock, and traffic; use safety equipment and
practices; attend safety and training meetings. Qualifications: Two
or more years of experience with generator maintenance is
preferred; minimum of one year of intense work-related experience
with generator and electrical maintenance-related software,
hardware, and processes. Thorough knowledge of generator
installations, maintenance, and repair; knowledge of electronic,
mechanical, and electrical components; moderate computer skills.
Basic knowledge of pertinent FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations.
Electrical experience preferred. Ability to comply with OSHA
Standards and pass a DOT physical. Ability to lift over 50 pounds,
stoop, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and stand for long periods.
Willingness and ability to drive long distances, work various hours
including overtime, and assume 24-hour on-call duty when required.

Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors
