Job Description:
Job SummaryGEOTEK, a market leader in high-performance,
engineered composite structural solutions, is looking for a
high-potential, highly motivated engineer to join our team. The Sr.
Composite Process Engineer is responsible for leading engineering
projects to support development and continuous optimization of the
filament production process. The Sr. Composite Process Engineer
will foster continuous improvement of the filament winding process
and increased productivity as Geotek continues to grow. The ideal
candidate is an energetic, self-motivated, self-starting, hands-on,
resilient, and influential leader. They are capable of working from
a vision, from which they can independently develop actionable
tasks and projects. They are data-driven, detail orientated and
organized, and possesses a desired to challenge existing process to
promote safety, quality, and productivity. The candidate must
conduct their work professionally with a consistently positive
demeanor, and possess a strong ability to work cross-functionally.
Previous experience in composite manufacturing is considered highly
desirable. For the right candidate, this role may include

Duties and Responsibilities:
Job Requirementso Four year Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
(mechanical, chemical, or composites preferred)o 5-10 years of
professional experience working in a manufacturing environment,
with recent composites/filament winding experience strongly
preferredo Must be an energetic and hands-on problem solver,
self-motivated, self-starting, and capable of managing multiple
projects simultaneously and prioritize accordinglyo Capable of
working from a vision, from which they can independently develop
actionable tasks and projectso Professional and concise
communication and verbal skills are essentialo Familiarity with
common thermoset resin systems, including polyester, vinyl-ester,
and urethane is highly desirable. Familiarity with common
manufacturing tooling design and development is desirableo
Excellent communication skills (written and oral) is essential o
Ability to work with different levels of staff, from line workers
to executives, is highly desirableo Experience with 3D modeling
using SolidWorks of parts, assemblies, and drawings with GD&T
per ANSI Y14.5; Formal GD&T training is desirableo Experience
with MS Officeo Detail oriented and organized to ensure accuracy
and qualityo Ability to lead the support of occasional off-shift
trials and production support requests, as requiredo Must be able
to stand, lift, use manual tools, and power tools o Must adhere to
all corporate policies and procedureso Must remain flexible as
priorities changes Physical Work ConditionsTime should be split
between the floor and the office or meeting rooms ranging anywhere
from 25% to 75% on the production floor or engineering labs. While
working on the floor there will be work with and around moving
machinery, fumes and chemicals. Office work requires sitting at a
desk, using a computer and phone.
