Job Description Job Description Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join one of our long-term Clients team at (1) of their properties in Minneapolis, MN (55404). The ideal candidate will have 2 years' experience in residential maintenance, have experience with unit turns, have knowledge of basic maintenance, be self-motivated, be able to organize multiple tasks throughout the day and is self-sufficient. This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion) or can go direct hire with the right candidate. This role will be working with (1) community that has 39 units – income restricted, 6 stories and was built in 2025. Salary: $25-$27/hour DOQ. This role is direct hire. However, candidate may start temporarily as a temp through Tesoro during the company's hiring and onboarding process. Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am - 5pm. Responsibilities and Job Duties: Provide a variety of skilled building maintenance including repairs to sinks, windows, floors, and other parts of the building. Maintains the grounds as assigned which may include trash pick-up, shoveling, and sweeping curb/dumpster area, maintaining landscape beds and other areas. Preparation of vacant units for occupancy which may include cleaning responsibilities. Install, repair (including soldering) and maintain various plumbing; heating and air conditioning fixtures; perform metal fabrication and welding. Installation and repair of major and minor appliances (e.g. washer, dryer, refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwashers, etc.). Troubleshoot maintenance issues, diagnose problems, replace and/or repair parts, test and make necessary adjustments to ensure issues are resolved. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs as needed. Complete minor work orders such as snake toilets/drains, repair/replace leaking faucets, remove/replace caulking, replace different components of toilets, adjust/replace door closures, and replace locks, deadbolts, and passage locks. Always demonstrate courteous and efficient customer service. Qualifications and Experience: 2 years' experience in residential maintenance – unit turns, work orders and preventative maintenance. Punctual and reliable. Be able to pass a background check before employment.
