DIVISION OVERVIEW: /n/n Crown’s Beverage Division manufactures a
variety of packaging solutions for soft drinks, craft beers,

LOCATION: /n/n Crown Beverage Packaging located in LaCrosse, WI has
117 employees. Surrounded by stunning bluffs and lying alongside
the mighty Mississippi River, La Crosse is home to over 20 miles of
beautiful scenic trails. The plant is also located just minutes
from the historic downtown which hosts unique shops, lively
entertainment, museums, art galleries and more. La Crosse is close
to major highways such as I-94 and the approximate distance from
the La Crosse Airport is about 7 minutes. /n/n /n/n POSITION
OVERVIEW: /n/n The Electrical Engineer works closely with all
aspects of the manufacturing process from the raw material to the
finished product and support daily productions activities. This is
a managerial position, which would include the daily supervision of
plant electricians and electronic technicians as well as the
management of plant construction, modifications, appropriations,
and equipment installation. /n/n /n/n DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
/n/n Reporting directly to the Plant Engineer, the Electrical
Engineer responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the
following: /n/n /n/t - Applies electrical theory and related
knowledge to test and modify developmental or operational
electrical machinery, electrical control equipment, and circuitry
in industrial plant setting /n/t - Oversees assembly and testing of
experimental motor control devices, switch panels, transformers,
generator windings, and other electrical equipment and components
according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical
principles /n/t - Diagnoses cause of electrical or mechanical
malfunction or failure of operational equipment and performs
preventative and corrective action /n/t - Develops diagrams,
drawings and specifications for modifications or expansions and
directs personnel performing routine installation and maintenance
duties /n/t - Plans, directs, and records periodic testing;
recommends or initiates modification or replacement of equipment as
needed /n/t - Directs, coordinates, develops, trains, coaches and
assesses employees /n/t - Supports and encourages employees to work
safely, efficiently, and effectively /n/t - Performs other
job-related duties as required or assigned /n In addition to the
specific responsibilities listed above, the ideal candidate will
possess the following: /n/n Minimum Requirements /n/n /n/t -
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
experience plus an Associate’s degree /n/t - Five to seven years of
experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment /n/t - At
least three years of proven supervisory experience /n/t - Working
knowledge of motor controls, VFD’s, DC drives, Eddy Current Systems
and/or Modicon system design /n/t - Installation, set-up and
programming of PLC’s (Allen-Bradley) /n/t - Ability to design,
modify and plot using AutoCAD software /n/t - Process control
systems – set-up and program applications (Honeywell) /n/t -
Instrumentation and calibration knowledge /n/t - Facility power
distribution to include voltage up to 4160v, three-phase /n/t -
Knowledge of building facilities (compressed air, water,
hydraulics, vacuums, heating and cooling) /n/t - Knowledge of
control systems and sub-systems /n/t - Must be available to work
various shifts if needed and be able to work nights, weekends, and
overtime to cover absences or provide additional support /n/t -
Approximately 10% overnight travel /n /n/n Preferred Requirements
/n/n /n/t - Packaging industry experience /n/t - Electrical
Journeyman’s certification /n/t - Green or black belt certification
in Six Sigma /n /n/n Competencies /n/n /n/t - Ability to work
independently or with a team /n/t - Strong problem-solving skills
through an individual and/or collaborative approach /n/t - Must be
able to look at new solutions and “think outside the box” /n/t -
Effective leadership skills such as conflict resolution,
communication, decision making, etc. /n/t - Demonstrated employee
relations skills and the ability to motivate people /n/t -
Excellent time management and project management skills as well as
the ability to multi-task /n/t - Excellent oral and written
communication skills /n/t - Strong computer skills and working
knowledge of various Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Access, etc.)
/n /n/n Physical Requirements /n/n /n/t - While performing the
duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit,
stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and may be
required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl /n/t - The
associate may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds /n/t - Specific
vision abilities required by this job include close vision,
distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus /n /n/n
Working Conditions /n/n /n/t - Generally works in a plant
environment but will be required to perform some job duties inside
a typical office setting /n/t - While performing the duties of this
job, associate will be exposed to power sources /n/t - While
performing the duties of this job, the associate may be exposed to
moving mechanical parts and vehicular traffic /n/t - The associate
may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures /n/t - The noise
