Here is your chance to join the Crown Food Team. /n/n /n/n LOCATION: /n/n Plant 84 is in Owatonna, MN. /n/n /n/n POSITION OVERVIEW: /n/n The Journeyman Electrician provides skilled electrical support to maintain the continuous operation and reliability of production equipment in a high-speed manufacturing environment. This role works collaboratively with electricians on shift, supports the Electrical Maintenance Manager, and ensures proper inventory management of electrical components. /n/n /n/n DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: /n/n Ø Apprenticing Registered non-licensed Electricians. /n/n Ø Provide technical assistance and support to fellow electricians during troubleshooting and repairs, ensuring minimal downtime. /n/n Ø Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections on electrical equipment and machinery. /n/n Ø Backfill the Electrical Maintenance Manager role as needed, including oversight of daily operations, assigning tasks, and managing schedules. /n/n Ø Order electrical parts and supplies, ensuring optimal stock levels to support continuous manufacturing operations. /n/n Ø Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, identify root causes. Implement effective solutions to restore equipment functionality. /n/n Ø Adhere strictly to company safety protocols, procedures, and electrical codes to ensure a safe working environment. /n/n Ø Collaborate closely with production and maintenance teams to identify improvement opportunities that enhance equipment reliability and efficiency. /n/n Ø Maintain clear and precise documentation of repairs, inventory transactions, and other maintenance activities. /n/n Ø Perform other related duties as assigned. /n/n QUALIFICATIONS: /n/n In addition to the specific responsibilities listed above, the ideal candidate will possess the following: /n/n Minimum Requirements /n/n Ø High school diploma or equivalent required. /n/n Ø Valid Journeyman Electrician license required. /n/n Ø Minimum of 3-5 years of industrial electrical experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment. /n/n Ø A strong background in industrial electrical, VFD, PLC, HMI, motors, sensors, and other electrical devices. /n/n Ø Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints. /n/n Ø The ability to use a multimeter and other electrical troubleshooting tools. /n/n Ø Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. /n/n Ø Ability to effectively backfill supervisory roles and manage team dynamics. /n/n Ø Experience with Excel and Office is a plus. /n/n /n/n Preferred Requirements /n/n Ø Working experience as an electrician in a canning manufacturing facility. /n/n /n/n Competencies /n/n Ø Strong problem-solving skills through an individual and/or collaborative approach. /n/n Ø Ability to work independently and with a team. /n/n Ø Must be able to look at new solutions and “think outside the box.” /n/n /n/n Physical Requirements: /n/n Ø While performing the duties of this job, team member is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. /n/n Ø The Team Member may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. /n/n Ø Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus. /n/n /n/n Working Conditions: /n/n Ø Generally, working in a plant environment may be required to perform some job duties inside a typical office setting. /n/n Ø The team member may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures. /n/n Ø The noise level is frequently loud. /n/n Ø Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and moving mechanical parts. /n/n Ø May require shift work, overtime, weekends, and holidays as necessary. /n/n /n/n *Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. /n/n /n/n BENEFITS: /n/n Crown provides competitive pay and performance-based bonuses for full-time team members.
