**Position description**
The Strategy, Value and Performance (SVP) division exists to
elevate Mayo Clinic's decision-making maturity by building the
frameworks, next generation tools, and bespoke analytical models to
increase executive confidence that the right risks are being
invested in and ensure that Mayo Clinic's sizable resources are
being nimbly deployed to accelerate the pace of change in pursuit
of the 2030 Bold Forward vision.
You will deftly combine qualitative and quantitative data and be
known as the financial wizards of the Strategy department. You will
have a combination of strategy, healthcare subject matter expertise
and a numbers orientation. You will be given the opportunity to
dive into the most complex and important issues facing Mayo Clinic
today. You will have access to executive leadership,
operations/data subject matter experts, and talented strategy team
members and have the EQ to navigate a highly matrixed
organization.
Clients will look to SVP to perform comprehensive strategic
evaluations leveraging strategic blueprints, business case
formulation, operating model evaluation, and financial modeling
with strong ROIC analysis to deliver recommendations in a concise
and compelling manner.
SVP will aim to assemble a team of talented professionals with
backgrounds ranging from corporate development, investment banking,
equity research, management consulting, FP&A, and data
analytics, joined by a common passion to make a measurable impact
in healthcare. You will embrace the mantra of putting the needs of
the patient first and be an integral part of advancing Mayo
Clinic's 2030 Bold Forward vision.
Strategist will report directly to a Manager, Director, Senior
Director or Division Chair. Works collaboratively across the
Strategy Department, with multidisciplinary teams throughout Mayo
Clinic and external entities. Works in partnership with other
department members at all levels, as well as various physician and
administrative colleagues and committees. Often presents and shares
information with leaders and committees. May interact, support and
consult with professionals of other medical systems and hospitals,
external organizations and technical support personnel as needed or
requested. May provide guidance to fellows, interns and other staff
members within the functional area.
The Strategist provides consultative and analytical services,
contributing to strategies for sites, shields or departments, and
other corporate priorities both independently and under the
direction of a manager, director, or division chair. Responsible
for ensuring deliverables are met and outcomes achieved of the
assigned projects. Partners across multidisciplinary teams to drive
innovation, challenge the status quo and implement solutions and
programs to advance priorities. Will provide strategic direction
through analysis and insights to drive strategic choices and the
planning process in line with the long-term strategic plan.
Establishes and maintains strong customer relationships with both
internal and external partners. Serves as change agent, championing
agile ways of thinking and working to enable teams and individuals
for success.
Drives excellence in financial acumen, communication (verbal,
written and presentations), business and strategic planning,
performance monitoring and reporting.

**Qualifications**
--- Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience, or Master's
degree.
--- Experience in strategic intelligence, strategic planning,
strategy development, corporate development, investment banking,
equity research, management consulting, FP&A, and dad
analytics.
