Job Description:

Austin, MN - Accounts Payable Clerk - 17.00 hour This is a full time permanent position.

• Understand and use the general ledger of accounts appropriately
• Understand the basic file structure of the systems used
• Understand and use basic functions within Excel
• Accurately record month end entries and reconciliations as assigned
• Accurately maintain files in the ERP system (NAV)
• Prepare necessary year-end paperwork and tax documents
• Back-up the secretaries in the front office
• Continually create efficiency's in processes
• Other duties as assigned by Finance Director
  • Accurately record vendor invoices and taxes for payment, process payments, and maintain records per archiving requirements
  • Maintain the appropriate cash levels in the checking and savings accounts and record transfers between checking, savings and money market accounts
  • Maintain fixed asset files, reconciliations and depreciation
  • Reconcile given bank accounts
  • Accurately record month end entries and reconciliations as assigned
  • Understand the process flows of AP data inputs and outputs
  • Assist other Accountant I's as needed What you bring to the position:
    
    
    • Ability to effectively communicate and deal with the public
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills
    • Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
    • Displays good judgment, professionalism and confidentiality
    • Experience with Word and Excel required.
    • Ability to prioritize and multi-task EDUCATION Minimum two-year associate degree with business or accounting emphasis and/or 3-5 years accounting experience.
